eller p\u00e5 norsk b\u00f8lgelengdemultipleksing.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\n\t\t\t\t\n\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n<p><strong>WDM (Wavelength Division Multiplexing)<\/strong>, eller <strong>b\u00f8lgelengdemultipleksing<\/strong> p\u00e5 norsk, er en n\u00f8kkelteknologi innen <strong>fiberoptisk kommunikasjon<\/strong>. Den gj\u00f8r det mulig \u00e5 sende flere optiske signaler samtidig gjennom \u00e9n enkelt fiber ved \u00e5 bruke ulike b\u00f8lgelengder (farger av lys). Dette \u00f8ker overf\u00f8ringskapasiteten dramatisk uten \u00e5 m\u00e5tte legge nye fiberpar.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"hvordan-fungerer-wdm\">Hvordan fungerer WDM?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Wavelength Division Multiplexing (WDM) fungerer ved \u00e5 dele opp fiberen i flere \u201ckanaler\u201d basert p\u00e5 b\u00f8lgelengder. Dermed kan man sende mange datastr\u00f8mmer parallelt i samme fiber.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Teknologien er spesielt viktig i <strong>optiske WAN (Wide Area Networks)<\/strong>, der \u00f8kt kapasitet er avgj\u00f8rende. Da optiske forsterkere ble introdusert p\u00e5 1990-tallet, ble det mulig \u00e5 sende signaler over sv\u00e6rt lange avstander og st\u00f8tte et stort antall kanaler.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-historisk-utvikling-av-wdm-systemer\">Historisk utvikling av WDM-systemer<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>De f\u00f8rste <strong>WDM-systemene<\/strong> hadde bare to kanaler (1310 nm og 1550 nm). Snart kom flerkanalsystemer i 1550 nm-omr\u00e5det \u2013 der fiberdempingen er lavest.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I dag deles WDM i to hovedkategorier:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>CWDM (Coarse Wavelength Division Multiplexing)<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>DWDM (Dense Wavelength Division Multiplexing)<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"cwdm-kostnadseffektiv-overforing\">CWDM: Kostnadseffektiv overf\u00f8ring <\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>CWDM<\/strong> er kjent for \u00e5 v\u00e6re en enkel og kostnadseffektiv l\u00f8sning for \u00e5 \u00f8ke kapasiteten i fiber.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Opptil <strong>16 kanaler<\/strong> (b\u00f8lgelengder)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Kanalavstand: <strong>20 nm<\/strong> (1270\u20131610 nm)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Rekkevidde: opptil <strong>100 km<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Ulempe: Kan ikke forsterkes, og passer derfor best til kortere forbindelser<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Det brukes ofte i <strong>regionale nettverk, bynett og bedriftsnettverk<\/strong> der man \u00f8nsker \u00e5 maksimere kapasiteten uten dyre investeringer.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-dwdm-forsterket-overforing-for-lange-avstander\">DWDM: Forsterket overf\u00f8ring for lange avstander<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>DWDM<\/strong> er den mer avanserte varianten, med langt h\u00f8yere tetthet av b\u00f8lgelengder.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>St\u00f8tter <strong>80 kanaler eller mer<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Kan forsterkes med optiske forsterkere<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Rekkevidde: opptil <strong>flere tusen kilometer<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Mulighet for <strong>superkanaler<\/strong> og <strong>fleksibel kanalbredde<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Skalerbart til <strong>terabit-overf\u00f8ringer<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Verkt\u00f8yet brukes i <strong>internett-backbone, datasentre, 5G-infrastruktur og internasjonale fiberforbindelser<\/strong>, der enorme datamengder m\u00e5 transporteres effektivt over store avstander.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-fordeler-med-wdm-teknologi\">Fordeler med WDM-teknologi<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>\u00d8kt kapasitet:<\/strong> Utnytter eksisterende fiber bedre ved \u00e5 sende flere signaler samtidig<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Kostnadseffektivitet:<\/strong> CWDM er rimelig for mindre komplekse nettverk<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Skalerbarhet:<\/strong> DWDM gir maksimal ytelse og fleksibilitet for fremtidige behov<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-oppsummert\">Oppsummert<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>WDM-teknologi<\/strong> (CWDM og DWDM) er avgj\u00f8rende for \u00e5 m\u00f8te dagens og fremtidens krav til b\u00e5ndbredde i <strong>fiberoptiske nettverk<\/strong>.
